Back at the home front:-) (got my presious Missy back) Exercising in the am and the pm. Trying to eat right and I'm feeling great!!! Will keep you posted on my continued journey. Good luck to those heading to Malibu; it will change your life. I know it has changed mine:-)

I have to tell you all that I have had the time of my life at the ridge. If you have the opportunity to go, I suggest you go. It isn't easy and it will make you go places you never have before. The people here are very nice. The trainers are great and really listen to you. I will miss all the great people I have met. I plan to keep in touch with them all. I plan on using what I learn at home and you will see the change in me:-) Well it's been fun; take care, Jenn

No rain today!!! Actually it started to get pretty nice and we got some sun:-) Started the morning with some core stretching with Megan. That's Megan, the super women!!! (nice pants Jenn; light up in the dark)
Breakfast consisted of a bacon and egg sandwich (which was very good)
Off to my hike with Michala, Amy and Zoey. We took a new hike called the "landrover" It's officially my hardest hike up to date. I ran around with Zoey for the beginning of the hike and burned 1,300 calories!!!
Hills, hills, hills.....The girls really pushed me even though I bitched a lot (lol)
After the hike I took a quick shower and headed off to stretch class with Michala. ( I have to say Michala is everywhere) Stretching never felt so good.
Lunch was okay; it was a rainbow sandwich. tomatoes, bellpeppers, onions, avocado (and a sprinkle of cheese (and I do mean sprinkle)
Lecture was next; and I have to say I did fall asleep. Actually, Amber got my camera and took a picture of me snoozing (my bad)
Treading with Heather was next. I took a shot at the spinning bike. (it was hard but I did it) Tracy was riding next to me and we push and encouraged each other.
Total Body H2O was next. I don't know what the trainers name was but I did feel like I was at a aquatics class for the geriatrics. (oh well)
Ball works with Ursula-Ursula, Ursula, Ursula, she is tough but gives you a great workout.
Dinner was chicken, butternut squash and asparagus (it was very tasty) Dessert was really good; it was an apple cobbler:-)

Rain rain go away so I can go out and hike! Had stretching with the Megster at 6am. Off to breakfast I go; I wasn't sure of the meuslix but I gave it a shot and it was good. (it had banana and strawberries too) There was a hike around the premises but I stayed back for some cardio intervals. (with Megan) It was such a great workout that I decided to do it again for another hour!!! The trainers here push you, support you to do things that you never thought you could do. I hate the treadmill and now I'm turning the corner. I want to love to run but it's going to take some time. (thanks Megan) Next was the pool with Michala; she gave us a great workout. Thank god for lunch. I love beets but wasn't sure about beet soup. It was great!!! Their soups are wonderful. Next on the menu was green pizza-to die for!!! I started to run around the premises then it started raining. I came back in (momma didn't raise no fool) I laid down to rest before pool class and I crashed and burned!!! I woke up and it was off to kickboxing. Ursula gives a great workout!!! After kickboxing it was off to "Mountain" with Michala and Amy. Mountain is warm-up for 5 minutes on 1 machine. Then you increase your speed or intensity 10 times for 3 minutes each time. It's a killer; thanks Amy for pushing my buttons on my machine!!! (you make me want to do more) Dinner here we come... Cafe chicken salad-I love that salad!!! Mango sorbet for dessert-not a fan of mango. I had to take a picture of my BFF Tia-she's super cool and we have a lot of fun together with our hiking. We keep each other going. Took a quick shower and now I'm watching the ballgame. Hope everyone is doing well.

Slept pretty well last night. Got up early for my core stretching class. (thanks for comming back Megan) I saw you on the treadmill this am (you truly are a stud) I am actually getting more flexible than ever before. Breakfast consisted of fruit and a teeny weeny banana muffin. (it was very good but bery small) I could have eaten about 10. No rain this am so I went on a hike to the beach. Had a lot of fun. All the girls ended up on van 6. (we are so bad) (poor Micaela; we must drive her crazy) After the hike it was off to stretching again. I'm begining to really like stretching. Lunch consisted of a tuna salad, green beans, potato slices and olives. I loved it!!! I let my food digest and it was back to the gym for some more kick boxing. I can get all my agressions out:-) Next was cardio intervals: I took on the eliptical (whew!!!) Total toning with Carol was tough. She's an animal!!! I skipped the pool because it's freezing outside!!! I decided to go back to cardio intervals again. This time I took on my enemy the treadmill. I survived the day:-) I caught a quick shower, put in some laundry and hustled to dinner. Dinner was fabulous; veggie lasagne, broccoli and strawberry dipped in chocolate!!! Who can doesn't like chocolate:-) Now it's time to relax and hit the hay. Gotta be ready for tomorrow.

Well, can you believe that it's raining here!!! Got up early to go to stretch class. (no Megan) Breakfast............that's all I will say about it. (fritatta) No hiking today:-( So I had this class that I don't know how to pronounce or spell but it kicked my ass!!! It was a combo of yoga and.......After that it was cardio blast. I tried the treadmill and that was my first mistake. I ran, ran, ran and ran!!! It was nice to have another stretch class. For lunch we had carrot soup and bean/turkey burrito (very good) After lunch there was open gym, I took advantage of it. "kick boxing" I tore it up!!! Next was step & pump; it was very hard but I loved it. Liquid moves in the pool in the rain????? Circuit training was next and it always seemed like I was on the treadmill. Dinner was a salmon burger and green beans. It was very good. I skipped dessert. Now I'm kicking it watching the football game. I burned 4,351 calories today!!! Woo Hoo!!! Hopefully the rain will stop and warm up a little (a little) Chow for now......

Thank God I made it through week#1. Today was definately a day of rest to get well. Woke up at 6:30 (that's condidered sleeping in) Had a lovely breakfast of waffles with real maple syrup:-0 My girl left me today to go to San Diego to take care of some family issues:-( (i miss her terribly) I watched some Nascar (jeff gordon came in 5th) watched some baseball (padres lost) and watched some football (whoever was on) Had some dinner, got to meet the newbies and some of the biggest loser season 11. The biggest surprise of the day was when season 9 contestants Ashley and Koli stopped by. Of course I had to get my photo op in! Well, tomorrow is a new day and new week. I'm going to knock it out of the park! Later
